Erica Bramham is a freelance musician, composer and music teacher based in Melbourne, Australia. She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts with an Honours degree in improvised music, majoring in contemporary voice. She is also an accomplished guitarist and mandolinist, and has recently taken up the double bass. She performs regularly around Melbourne in various original and corporate entertainment ensembles, both as a band leader and freelance accompanist.
Since graduating, Erica has established a successful teaching practice alongside her performance career. She believes everyone deserves to have a rewarding music experience, whether they are complete beginners wanting to try something new, or accomplished players looking to take their career to the next level through advanced study and mentoring.
Erica is particularly interested in creativity, and the challenges and rewards that accompany it. She explores this topic through her podcast Mind Over Myth, freelance writing commissions and her blog. Erica has recorded two albums, Twelve Moons (2016) and Songs From A Midnight Room (2018). Both were released to four star reviews, with Twelve Moons named as one of the top ten releases of 2016 on by British critic Phil Barnes. She is also the Director of Bright Young Music, a boutique wedding and corporate entertainment agency.
